BEFORE CONSTRUCTION

Drafting Solutions was consulted to design and draft a wood deck expansion at 99-1175 Aiea Heights Drive for Mr. and Mrs. Jim Williams.  The deck that was designed was 320 sq feet on a new post and pier structural frame. The homeowners wished to extend their existing living from exterior with the new deck expansion.

DURING CONSTRUCTION

Construction started in March 2009 and new concrete footings and floor framing were poured and erected.  The new posts allowed the new wooden frame to be supported and anchored.  Spacing between the floor planking allowed rainwater to naturally drain off the deck.

AFTER CONSTRUCTION

The construction of the deck was completed in August of 2009 and the finished deck was painted white.  A new white wood railing and pickets were added around the perimeter and 1x2 slats were added as a skirt to hide the posts below.
